Recently, I hosted the graduation ceremony of a Bootcamp put together by a mentor of mine, Sir Fela Durotoye.
I realised while over a 100 people started the programme, despite the qualification for graduation being 80% attendance, only about 70 people graduated.
After giving this some thoughts, I realise, our generation is suffering from a disease called lack of commitment.
Why am I sharing this with you?
I need you to realise, there is a stark difference between intention and commitment.
It’s not enough to want your life to change.
It’s not enough to want to do great things.
It’s not enough to want good things...
You must commit to the process. Intentions don’t make inventions, commitments do.
If you are never committed to anything, your life will be void of result, and will be full of abandoned projects.
This is why many people never get to complete or finish anything they start. They lack staying power
.
Intentions alone won’t make you a good husband or wife,
Intentions alone won’t make you a better student,
Intentions alone won’t help you grow or fulfill purpose.
Your intentions, have to got be backed up by determination and commitment to the process.
For that change or improvement you want to see next in your life, I hope you will be determined enough to commit to the process till the change you desire happens.
If this post has helped you, please let me know in the comments.
I believe in you.
