The first requirement for living an extraordinary life even in difficult and trying times is to do ordinary things in an extraordinary way.
Yes, you heard me. It’s not doing extraordinary things but doing ORDINARY things in an extraordinary way.
12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.
13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great…
All my life, whenever I read the above scripture, I always thought Isaac did something extraordinary was why he reaped a hundredfold in famine until God opened my eyes today.
I have come to discover extraordinary people always ask themselves – WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY IN THIS SITUATION?
Isaac did what losers won’t do.
Isaac did what people with victim mentality won’t do.
Isaac did what failures won’t do.
Yes, even, in drought, in famine, he sowed!
Isaac had what I call the Anti-Majority Mentality.
If you are going to succeed in life, you must have the Anti-Majority mentality!
Losers will say, “why waste the seed when it’s clearly famine?
Failures will say, “Eat what you have so you can at least stay alive for a while longer”
To reap, you have to at least sow!
You know how many people refused to plant anything that year?
In other words, Isaac invested in His own future even when it didn’t make sense to.
When others were seeking survival, he was sowing.
When others were blaming God, he was sowing.
When others were crying, murmuring and complaining, he was sowing…
My question to you is: in this seemingly difficult season, are you sowing? Are you investing in yourself or seeking survival?
I dare you today – Do what the majority won’t do!
I believe in you.
